Aaron and I had a successful three days of shooting production in central Texas this last Monday through Wednesday. We’ve amassed several hours of footage, and we’re now getting ready to edit a fundraising trailer. People came from all over Texas and Oklahoma to support us and be there for the filming. So a big “THANK YOU” goes out to: Joe, Kent, Conrad, Frank, Terry, Susan, Erik, Georgia, Elbert, and of course, Fran and Gin. Great work everyone!

LifeWorks is Austin’s only non-profit organization that provides a continuum of services to youth and families; addressing critical needs to achieve lasting, positive change. Through its counseling, housing and education programs, LifeWorks continues its mission to transition youth and families from crisis to safety and success.
Check out the cause. I’m in love with it! The function and Auction on May 28th at the Long Center. This prime location is at the heart of what Austin is all about with an all white décor overlooking the downtown skyline. Join co-chairs Kendra Scott, jewelry designer along with Joe Ross, local business executive for a star studded event that is talked about years to come.
This was a short video of the final song we were rehearsing to record for the CD. We called in the super talented Anna Broesche to add her vocal touches to a verse. Everyone got a verse to sing in the song, so we captured a really special moment in time that we’ll all remember!
The new working title, which I expect to be the band name and documentary name, is “The Shaw Twins.” The twins used this name when they performed in the mid 1900’s. We’re gaining momentum on funding and project development! The new DBA is setup and ready to roll- “Blind Monk Productions,” is the new moniker. I’m taking bids on Logo designs right now. Please be sure to check back often as updates are coming on a regular basis. I’ll start adding more photos in the next few days!
Blind Monk Productions is being set up on Tuesday, April 27th, 2010. This DBA is being setup under the Blind Monk Music umbrella as a direct result of The Twins project. This will become the primary business under which the Blind Monk names will operate.
I’ve got a great Lawyer on board, named Jason Sims, who has a passion for the music and entertainment business. As I write this I’m sitting at Onion Creek Production’s studio talking with the filmmakers about scheduling, ideas, processes, and prices… Prices…
I’m looking into archived recordings of the Twins from KAND radio, and we’re trying to track down any footage from the past. Additionally, I’m looking into grants and funding.
We just finished recording the project for the Twins- working title, “Surrounded by Angels.” This project will be a full length CD which will have between eight and twelve songs with interview/documentary style elements intertwined. The Twins are two of the most lovely women I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. They’re 78 years old and have been singing together for the last 70 years. It’s the perfect, classic unsung heroes story. I’m so happy that Joe, Conrad, Frank, Kent, Gin and Fran could all make it to my studio to be a part of what I think is my most meaningful project to date.

Friday Night's Rehearsal for the recordings on Saturday, April 17th, 2010.
Hello all!
Looking forward to a slew of new updates being performed by Tommy from Bocumast. We’re cranking up the site with some flash content and enhanced search engine optimizations. Keep checking in!
